Flu Shot 2023

Got my flu shot around 5 pm yesterday. Did you get yours?

Then at midnight, I felt sick and feverish. The room temperature was 25°C, which was pretty decent, but I couldn’t help shivering incessantly.

Around 3 am, I managed to fall asleep. About half an hour later, however, I felt choked and woke up all of a sudden. There was a power outage, without a given ETA according to the London Hydro website. My CPAP machine stopped working. Luckily my phone battery was at 31% and could last for a few hours.

The fever was unmitigatedly high. The shivers didn’t stop. I couldn’t stand any inch of my skin being exposed to the air.

Another 30 minutes passed. The power was back on. My CPAP machine started to run again. I was so happy to go back to sleep.

I have no idea when the fever went away. Around 10:30 am I woke up, drenched in sweat. Since then I’ve been feeling better and better. The sore arm isn’t even worth mentioning anymore.

Despite shivering with cold all through the night, I haven’t lost a pound. Exercise is so overrated.
